The Group Practice Circle
A small, ongoing community for new and growing group practice owners who want company on the journey.
I wish I had this when I started.
That's the honest truth. When I was building Discovery Counseling Austin from the ground up, I was making big decisions on Tuesday afternoons between client sessions, mostly alone, mostly hoping I was getting it right.
I had brilliant therapist friends. I had business books. I had a Facebook group or two.
What I didn't have was a small room of people who were doing exactly what I was doing, at the stage I was at, who could hold the actual conversation with me. The "should I hire this person" conversation. The "I'm scared to look at the numbers" conversation. The "I don't know if I want to grow at all" conversation.
I'm building that room now. For you.
You're in the middle. The hardest part.
You started a group practice (or you're seriously considering it). You have a handful of clinicians, or you're about to. You're doing most of the admin yourself. You're trying to make decisions about hiring, money, systems, and growth in a market that won't sit still.
And the resources out there? They're either built for solo practitioners (which you're not anymore) or for big group practices with 30+ clinicians and a full admin team (which you don't have yet).
You're carrying decisions you didn't have to carry as a solo therapist. Hiring choices. Money conversations. Whether to grow, when to grow, how to grow without burning out the practice (or yourself). And you're mostly making these calls alone, between client sessions, on a Tuesday at 2pm.
Here's what I know after building Discovery Counseling Austin from one therapist to 35: the practice owners who build something sustainable aren't the ones who found the right scaling formula. They're the ones who got clear on what they actually wanted, made intentional decisions, and had people in their corner while they figured it out.
That's what the Group Practice Circle is for.
What the Group Practice Circle is…
A small group of new and growing group practice owners (or aspiring ones) meeting twice a month to do the slow, smart, intentional work of building practices that actually fit our lives.
It's a cross between a mastermind and a support circle. Structured enough to make real progress. Intimate enough to have honest conversations about the things you're not posting about on Instagram.
Each meeting includes time for whatever the group needs most: working through a decision someone's stuck on, sharing wins, asking the questions you can't ask anywhere else, and getting honest feedback from people who actually understand the work.
I bring tools, frameworks, and years of group practice experience. The group brings the wisdom of being in it with you.
Who it's for…
This community is for you if:
You're starting, just started, or running a small group practice (roughly 1-8 clinicians)
You're doing most of the admin yourself and wondering when (or if) to get help
You're at a decision point about growth, hiring, money, systems, or sustainability
You want a small group of people who get it, not a Facebook group full of strangers
You're tired of cookie-cutter "scale your practice to 7 figures" advice that doesn't fit your values
This is not the right fit if:
You're a solo practitioner without plans for a group practice (the Momentum Circle is built for you)
You're running a large group practice (10+ clinicians) with established admin support
You're looking for done-for-you services or 1:1 coaching only (I offer those as reduced rates for group members though)
What's included:
Twice-monthly group meetings on Zoom (90 minutes each). One meeting each month focuses on a theme or framework for the month. The other meeting is dedicated to member spotlights, where we dig into whatever you're wrestling with as a group.
Email access to me between meetings. Send me a question, a win, or something you're working through.
A private group inbox where members can ask the whole group for wisdom between meetings. No app to download. No platform to learn. Just email.
Resources, frameworks, and tools I share as we go: hiring templates, decision frameworks, money conversations, custom spreadsheets, whatever the group needs.
A small, vetted group of practice owners who get it. Capped at 9 members on purpose, because the trust matters more than the numbers.
Member rate pricing on any 1:1 services if you ever want deeper support on a specific decision.
How the membership works
$197/month, cancel anytime.
I ask for a soft 3-month commitment when you join, because this kind of group works best when you give it time to settle in. Not enforced, just an honest expectation.
Application + short interview to join, because the chemistry of a small group matters and I want to make sure you're in the right room. The application takes about 5 minutes. The interview is a 20-30 minute conversation with me to make sure it's a fit on both sides.
I keep the group capped at 8. When we're full, new members join the waitlist for the next opening.
I think you'd love this Circle because…
You're a really good clinician. The therapy part comes naturally. But running a group practice is a whole other set of skills nobody trained you for, and you've been figuring most of it out as you go.
You've probably had moments where you thought, "I don't know who to ask about this." The decisions feel big. The stakes feel real. And the people in your life (your family, your friends, your clinicians) can't quite hold these conversations with you because they're not in it.
The Circle is the room where you can be honest about what's hard, ask the questions you've been sitting on, and get input from people who are doing this work too.
It's where "I think I need to fire someone but I'm not sure" becomes a real conversation. Where "I'm thinking about staying small forever and that feels like failure" gets met with "actually, let's talk about that." Where you don't have to translate the problem before you can ask for help.
If you've been wishing for company on this journey, this is what that looks like.
How to apply
Click below to fill out the short application. It takes about 5 minutes.
Once I receive it, I'll reach out within a few days to schedule a brief 20-30 minute conversation. We'll talk about where you are, what you're hoping for, and whether the Circle is the right fit right now. No pressure, no hard sell. If it's a fit, you're in. If it's not, I'll point you toward something that is.
Slow down. Get clear. Build the practice you actually want.
And do it with people who actually get it.
